About
Private registrations, with prices that fall
RegDrop is a different way to buy a private number plate.
Instead of fixed prices, registrations begin at a set price and gradually become cheaper. The price keeps falling until someone claims the registration or it reaches its lowest price.
If you see a plate you love, the choice is yours: secure it now or wait for the price to fall—but someone else may get there first.
A simpler way to buy
Finding and buying a private registration should feel straightforward. That is why RegDrop focuses on clear pricing, a simple checkout and helpful updates throughout the process.
There are no auctions to join and no bids to place. The live price shown on the registration is the price available at that moment.
Once you claim a registration, its price is locked in and we guide you through what happens next.
What happens after you buy?
We arrange the official DVLA registration certificate for your new registration. Once it is ready, the registration can be assigned to a suitable vehicle or kept on its certificate until you are ready to use it.
You can also choose to order physical number plates during checkout.
Please remember that purchasing a registration does not automatically assign it to a vehicle. DVLA rules and eligibility requirements still apply.
Clear prices, without the confusion
We want you to know exactly what you are paying for before placing an order. Your checkout clearly separates the registration price, VAT where applicable, the compulsory DVLA transfer fee and any optional extras you choose.
No bidding wars. No hidden surprises. Just a live price and the decision of when to claim it.
Ready to find yours?
With millions of registrations available, your perfect plate could already be dropping in price.
Find a plate. Watch the price fall. Claim it before someone else does.
